Jackson Knoll grew up renting from ski shops — and was always let down by the lack of selection. So in 2013, he opened a 1,300-square-foot shop at the base of Park City Mountain Resort with a simple mission: give skiers and snowboarders the options they deserve.
Today, that shop has grown to 6,000 square feet and one of the largest ski demo fleets in Utah — 136 ski models, 62 snowboards, and every one of them current-year. Because Jackson doesn’t believe in offering last season’s gear. “I think it’s kind of cheating the customer,” he says.
From 3D laser boot fitting to the only Wintersteiger Mercury Gen 3 tune station in the U.S., everything at Base Camp is built around one idea: the right gear, the right fit, right at the base — so you spend less time in the shop and more time on the mountain.
